E-bikes in winter

ABBY COLE, who wrote a lovely article a year or so in the Independent about the joys of public transit, has a new one out in the Telegram on e-bikes. Yes, in mid-winter! We’ve come a long way in our thinking about cycling.

Meanwhile, I’m working on an avatar for myself. Putting this version here mostly just to have a picture to go with the text but I might put a selection of possible avatars in a future post. I’m actually riding my regular bike in the drawing but I do have an e-bike and it has enabled me to to go much further than I would with my regular bike (mainly to Topsail Beach!)
